Trainers of the camp

Mono Arjun / Jorge Calero

He is a Senior Mentor of Dances of Universal Peace (DUP). He has taken the DUP to different countries in Latin America; especially, through Beyond Initiative, he has shared the beauty of the practice to various communities in Middle East, North Africa and Asia.

A medicine man with years of experience in the path of ceremonies, sacred plants, sweat lodge, sun dance, vision quest and travels with these altars.

One of the founders of Atlantida Ecovillage 20 years ago, a community where DUP trainings and all the mentioned altars are planted. Also cofounder of the Colombian and Latin American Ecovillage Networks. Still active in these networks as elder and vision keeper as well as organizing education for sustainability. He is a biologist, specialist in ethnobiology and ecology with a M.Sc. in ecosocial regeneration.

Juan Nuraddin

Born in 1988 in Spain, Juan plays clarinet with great vocation. He has been inspired since 2011 by several Sufi communities around the world to deepen in the language of the heart and serves as a bridge between communities in South America, Europe and the Middle East.

He is currently leading Dances of Universal Peace in Spain and mentoring other DUP guides in several countries. Dr.Oruç Güvenç has also been very important in his path and the sema gatherings organized by TUMATA every summer in Türkiye. Juan has hosted and guided gatherings in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Iran, Italy, United Kingdom, Morocco, Tunisia, Türkiye and Spain, opening a space to awaken the heart.

Malika Elena

Leader of the Dances of Universal Peace, explorer of different Native American practices, musician and singer of World Sacred Music. Through her golden voice she offers a journey for different spiritual traditions of the Earth. Celebrating the human spirit, cultivating the sense of a planetary community full of diversity and beauty and promoting respect, understanding, and recognition between all religions and spiritual paths. She has released several albums and singles of World Sacred Music.

Nur Jahan Roxana

Chilean, is a prominent actress, peace activist and defender of women’s circles, sahumadora, fire bearer and guardian, initiated in various spiritual lineages, provides accompaniment and guidance in ceremonies and rites of passage. Grandmother of the Moon Dance, healer and spiritual midwife.

Nur Jaham is recognized as a certified leader and mentor in the Dances of Universal Peace with her commitment to peace and spirituality.
For years she has been traveling around the world teaching, offering rituals, courses and sharing the DPU.
Currently, she is part of the Beyond Initiative, a group committed to the expansion of the Dances of Universal Peace in the Middle East.

Munira

Munira Elizabeth Reed was born in the Deep South in 1954, shaped by the human rights struggles of the times followed by decades with the cries of humanity through various social justice movements for a more just and inclusive world. She migrated north to Ohio after theological school to start a career as a mainstream clergy in the late 70’s.

Munira is a senior DUP mentor, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of Dances of Universal International. She has published numerous articles, two online meditation courses: A Healing Journey with the Aramaic Lord’s Prayer and Breathing with the Divine Breath: Deep Inner Healing in the Beatitude Way and an educational manual with Saadi’s resources on Native Middle Eastern approaches to spiritual practice. Her current writing project focuses on goddesses in the first-century Middle East during the time of Yeshua’s life. She lives in Columbus, Ohio with her wife and life partner of over 32 years, Mary Jo Marraffa, a holistic chiropractor.

Organizing team

The camp is put together and coordinated by a team of Vietnamese and Thai volunteers who have been practicing since DUP first got to Asia in 2022, with a lot of love and support from our friends and the international communities.
