DUP International Camp 2024 in Vietnam
We are deeply grateful for having another opportunity to keep nurturing the hope and vision of Peace on Earth with you through the 2nd International Dances of Universal Peace camp in Vietnam, organized with the support of the Beyond Initiative in Asia.
The camp aims to water the seeds of Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) in Asia and beyond. The camp includes a program for DUP leaders training.

Details about the camp
- When: December 1st – December 7th, 2024
- Participants will need to arrive in Hanoi latest in the morning of December 1st. The camp will end after 2 pm on December 7th. For details of logistics arrangements, please read our FAQs.
- Where: Thai Hai Village, Thai Nguyen Province, Vietnam
Thai Hai Reserve Area of Ecological Houses-on-Stilts Village is a 20-year-old intentional community preserving the culture of Nùng & Tày ethnic groups in Vietnam. Thai Hai owns a scale of up to 25 hectares with animals, trees, flowers, and large lakes, especially 30 hundreds-year-old stilt houses. The village is among the list of 32 “Best Tourism Villages in 2022” awarded by The World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). Read more about Thai Hai Village here.
Who can join the camp?
- Anyone who wants to experience DUP, enjoys being present, cultivating compassion, and unity.
- We especially recommend this to those who want to pursue the path to becoming DUP dance leaders because this camp has the element of leader-in-training.
- There is no age limit. However, please note that children under 18 years old have to be accompanied by a guardian who is responsible for their safety.
What will we do in the camp?
The camp is about the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) but not just that. We’ll have a chance to practice being present with ourselves, with each other, the land, nature, and the local people. Therefore, we will respect and follow a shared schedule of activities that aims to support our practice of living together as a safe and nurturing community.
This is a tentative schedule:
Morning:
- 6:00 – 6:45 am: Personal practice/exercise (optional)
- 7:00 – 7:30 am: Group Practice
- 7:30 – 8:30 am: Breakfast
- 8:30 am – 12:30 pm: DUP session
Afternoon:
- 12:30 pm – 03:00 pm: Lunch and nap/free time
- 3:00 pm – 06:00 pm: DUP session
- 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm: Time for dinner and self-care
Evening:
- 7:30 pm – 9:30 pm: Community circle
- 10.00 pm: Light out
Notice: The schedule will be updated and changed based on the agreements of the participants and the trainers at the camp.
